The Matqa Carva Sling takes the distinctive rounded silhouette of our Matqa collection and enriches it with hand-embossed artwork inspired by Rajasthan.

Camels, village huts, desert vegetation, animals and traditional floral motifs are carefully worked into the surface of the leather, turning each bag into more than an everyday accessory. The design becomes a story carried directly in the leather.

Each piece is handmade by artisans using full-grain, vegetable-tanned goat leather. After the leather is cut and constructed, the motifs are individually embossed by hand using controlled pressure and traditional craft experience.

Because the embossing is created individually, no two Matqa Carva Sling bags are completely identical. Subtle differences in motif placement, leather grain, depth and tone are part of the character of each piece.

The bag is finished with a vintage-inspired lock and buff antique-finish hardware, chosen to complement the warm natural brown leather.

Inside, a soft velvet lining surrounds a practical arrangement consisting of one main compartment, two open pockets and one zip pocket.

An adjustable 1-inch / 2.5 cm leather shoulder strap allows the bag to be worn comfortably across the body or over the shoulder.

Available in two sizes, the Matqa Carva Sling combines functional storage with an individually crafted expression of Rajasthani heritage.

Hand-Embossed Craft

Each Matqa Carva Sling begins with carefully selected goat leather that is cut and stitched by hand.

The motifs are then embossed individually into the leather surface. The process requires controlled pressure and craft experience to achieve definition without compromising the natural character of the leather.

Because this process is performed individually rather than mechanically reproduced, slight variations in pattern, depth and placement are expected.

That means every Matqa Carva Sling carries its own individual expression of the design.
